Laser Guided Bombs

  1. Targeting Pod Setup
    1. From R console, put FLIR into standby (this take a few minutes to warm up)
    2. From PFD, click Menu, FLIR
    3. Once Targeting Pod is Operational, ARM laser from R Console
    4. Can confirm laser is active, L ARM should display on TPOD display
    5. Laser must be rearmed after each drop

    1. If "CODE" is displayed on HUD, it indicates that the TPOD and bomb are mismatched
    2. Click UFC on PFD, Click LTDC on UFC (Laset Target Designation Code), enter 1685 and ENT

    1. A/G Mode
    2. Select LG Bomb
    3. Each LG bomb will have XXXX for it's laser code. We need to set a code
      1. Select CODE (bottom left), click "CODE" on UFC, and then type code (ie. 1685) and "ENT" (repeat for each LG bomb)
      2. This assigns the laser guided code to that bomb

    1. S key resets targeting pod to nose
    2. Use Thottle Select Hat to Slew targetting pod
